MeaPay was a breakout project from MeaWallet (www.meawallet.com) with the goal of developing a software payment terminal that merchants could download from popular app stores onto their mobile phones, enabling them to accept card payments using contactless tap-to-pay technology (MPoC Standard).

I joined the team in 2021 and played a key role in defining the initial MVP scope for the SoftPOS payment app. This included sourcing an external design agency to create the front-end designs based on wireframes I produced and overseeing the certification process with Mastercard and Visa.

The product was certified within 12 months, with Spain chosen as MeaPay's first launch market. I collaborated with the Commercial team to engage a local marketing and branding partner to support the product launch in the market.

In addition to my core responsibilities, I expanded the roadmap to include an SDK version of the SoftPOS solution, targeting upstream revenue segments for mid-market and enterprise clients.ease article here.

OUTCOME The product was acquired by one of MeaPay's investors (Teya Group) and integrated into Teya's broader POS portfolio. Please see the release article here.
